I posted a couple of weeks ago about Day one, of test cricket for the season and my brush with fame and Brett Lee. The pretty white dress that I wore was from a label called Boom Shankar, well they were running a competion at the time to win a Gift voucher. I WON. I posted the photo of me in the Amela dress with Brett Lee, and the gorgeous girls at Boom Shankar blessed me with the voucher.
Brett Lee – Cricketer and Bollywood star.
Dui Cameron the founder, owner and designer founded Boom Shankar in 1995. Her fabulous bold and original prints and designs makes her clothing so much fun. I stepped out today in the Nina dress when I went to the Brisbane airport to do fly in day pick, and then headed to DFO for some shopping. I had 3 people stop me and tell me how gorgeous I looked in the dress and asked where I got it from.
Not only does Boom Shankar supply fabulous clothes at Eumundi markets on a Saturday and Wednesday, they supply to numerous stockists and have their own online store. Owner and Designer Dui Cameron also heavily supports local and international charities and Community Aid Projects, Boom Shankar in the last three years has raised the funds to install three water bores in drought stricken Rajasthan. In 2007 saw the coordination of a fundraising campaign to raise money for a water purifying system for a school in Hasanpura, the oldest slum area in Jaipur. The school is operated by an Indian agency, Draydan Social Welfare, in conjunction with Belgian charity Opus III.
Please don’t judge me for my lack of modelling skills felt like a complete idiot getting these photos taken by my husband who was making hilarious comments.
Thanks to the ladies at Boom Shankar. Love, Love my new dresses. X
